My experiences as a Waldorf Teacher taught me the value of beauty and simplicity.
My Waldorf Experiences
I enjoyed and learned so much about how to teach the curriculum through the arts and to support childhood development with innovative and creative approaches. The families and young students that I have met through the years working with Public Waldorf Schools have impressed me with their deep love of learning, the arts and the world around them. Many of my teaching methodologies of active movement and learning multiplication tables, language arts poems and stories, come directly from my experiences with the Waldorf pedagogy. Music, singing, acting and the visual arts are woven throughout the curriculum to deepen and enriched the beauty of mathematics and language arts. Student learning is differentiated through a variety of lessons that accentuate each student's strength while building needed skills. Behavior management techniques of peaceful thoughts and breathing help to create a positive and safe environment for learners.
